Chiyoda has vast experiences on synthesis gas projects, such as Methanol, Ammonia, Urea and other syngas products. Attracted by a competitive natural gas feedstock price in the US, there are many synthesis gas projects and Chiyoda has been providing services to those clients in the early planning and Pre-FEED stages as follows:
- An extensive review of a large, multi-train, USGC-based methanol complex Basic Design Package for bidding on FEED and EPC.
- Preliminary proposal to re-locate small modular methanol plant from overseas to a US location.
- Preliminary pre-FEED assessment and study to capture flue gas CO2 for methanol production expansion for an existing USGC methanol “low-carbon” plant based on conventional steam reforming.
- Preliminary assessment and review of a project aimed at using existing and relocated equipment for a new USGC-based methanol production plant based on steam reforming with CO2 import.
